  An extensive research is carried out recently concerning the application of bitter leaf into routine diet. At the University of Texas there have been studies that examine the role of bitter life in treatment of some medical conditions. 

  A bitter taste is generally associated with lack of good flavour and taste by the majority of people however there are benefits that may not have been taken into consideration. African cuisine particularly contains bitter leaf as an ingredient. Despite it is called bitter, its taste and flavour are characterised as mild. 

Five benefits associated with consumption of Bitter Leaf:

A) Treatment of breast cancer: A diet with bitter leaf is efficient for females in order for breast cancer not to be developed. In addition a healthy weight can be maintained which is interrelated to the occurrence of cancer.

C) Lymphatic cleanse: There are occasions where people tend to smoke next to people that are anti-smokers. This is detrimental to the health as lymphs can be polluted by constituents which can be poisoning. Bitter leaf has an important role as it acts as a shield against the pollutants.

D) Contains Essential fatty acids: There are two fatty acids that the body can not make them so it is necessary that the diet provides them. Bitter leaf has shown that it contains these fatty acids which can lower the risk of cardiovascular disease. 

E) High in antioxidants: Oxidation is a significant threat for everyday life which can lead to defective cell formation. According to various studies there is proof that bitter leaf contains antioxidants that are effective towards the appearance of severe health diseases.
