Almond milks contain a controversial food additive that is called carrageenan that may be a potential carcinogen.

   Some Almond Milks are particular as they contain a food additive that is extracted from red seaweed. This is called carrageenan. Food Drugs and Administration recognize the additive as a safe one however according to research it leads to gastrointestinal inflammation and possibly cancer so attention is crucial.
